I’ve walked this earth for seventy years
Died a hundred times
Now I lie in the cold dark soil
Boxed and horizontally inclined
No bearded man at the pearly gates
To ask me what I’ve done
No eternal flame to roast me
With all my atheist chums
It’s really not so bad down here
No worry and no strife
Just time to ponder
On how I’ve lived my life
There’s millions gone before me
And millions yet to come
All on the same old journey
Till our final resting place is won
Just a shame I can’t share the tunes
That pop into my head
Seems I’m more prolific
Now that I am dead
